Nights away notification

This form needs to be filled in for all over night activities, including sleep overs at your own headquarters.

You can submit your Nights Away Notification form online. Click here for the online form.

Remember to submit this form at least 7 days before your event.

Nights away permit application

This form needs to be filled in when applying for and renewing your Nights Away Permit. Please submit this form to nightsawaypermits@mansouthscouts.org.uk .

On the the District advisors will then deal with it.

Nights Away Event Passport

The Nights Away Event Passport should be used on all youth led nights away activities where leaders are not present. Click here to access it.

Adventurous Activity Permit Scheme

This application form can be used to apply for a permit for any activity, as a means of making contact with an assessor or booking onto an assessment course.

Training

Leader Training

All training needs should be discussed with your Group Scout Leader (GSL) before booking any training courses. For all leader training, you can book on to free training provided by the County. For more information on training date click here to view the County Calendar or alternatively visit the County web site here.

All Section Leaders and Section Supports must complete training modules 1 to 3 of Getting Started and training modules 5 to 19

All Group Managers and District Managers must complete training modules 1,2 & 4 of Getting Started and training modules 5 to 26

Some training modules can be completed online and these are linked below

  • Module 5 – The Fundamentals of Scouting

All leaders must complete mandatory ongoing learning modules. These are Safety, Safeguarding and First Aid. You can find links to the Safety and Safeguarding modules here.

Exec Member Training
