About us

The long-awaited BMHC Scouts Group will be relaunching very soon.

A taster and registration day for Beaver and Cub Scouts only will be held at the British Muslim Heritage Centre on Sunday 10th March 2019, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

You will have the opportunity to bring your children along to take part in taster activities, ask questions to our dedicated Volunteer Scout Leaders and register your children. (Priority will be given to returning children).

We are aiming at relaunching the Scouts Group on the following week after the taster and registration day, on Sun 17th March 2019

BMHC Scout Group was established in November 2014 and is part of the Manchester South Scouts District. We are one of over 70 Muslim Scout groups now set up across the UK. The success of Muslim Scouting can be attributed to the values of Scouts being interconnected to the principles of Islam. The scouting values of integrity, respect, caring, belief and cooperation are all harmonious to Islamic principles and are key characteristics we wish to see in young Muslims today.

As a Muslim Scout group, we provide for our youth the activities they would not normally be able to have access to in an environment that is comfortable for parents. We have three sections in our group, catering for young people aged 6 to 14 years.

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
