Sainsburys Promotion Week
Hi All
I thought you would like to know how we got on after our Sainsbury’s
promotion.
We raised £2229.00 from bag packing which will be shared between the
district and the groups taking part.
Those that took part were

3rd Didsbury (306 M/C)
2nd Didsbury (88 M/C)
249 M/C
1st Baguley Hall (370 M/C)
B P Peppercorn Lodge (392 M/C)
Birch (23 M/C)
We had twenty one volunteers who came forward during the week we were at
Sainsbury’s. The follow up only gained eight new helpers to the district.
Eleven that had volunteered did not responed after two phone calls with
messages left on their phones, so I had to presume that they were no longer
interested. Two volunteers were not able to help till the new year so
hopefully they will get back to us at that time. We have today gained
another helper via the district web site. If you have not gained any new
assistants then that is because the days people were available were not
compatable with group meeting times.
Please encourage new leaders/helpers to come to district meetings and meet
other members of the district. Please remember that any new leaders need to
fill in a CRB form and a scout association form or they will not be covered
by scout insurance. Some may already have a warrant in their home district
but will still need to fill in the CRB form here and they may also wish to
do their training with us. Ted and Neil are aware there may be an influx of
training and CRB forms coming their way. Contact them if you have any
problems or if I’ve given you the wrong information. Also encourage your new
members to register with the district web site to receive district news (and
also the county web site to receive County Life)
Following the promotion week we have equipement available to the district
for anyone who wishes to have a loan of it.
