News from the Beaver section

- The ADC said that there was a plan to organise a sleep-over to tie in with the Giant Sleep-Over.

There then followed a general conversation about the groups in the district
- There are 10 packs that are running in the district, plus three whose status were unsure
- Ted Harris said that there is an on-going effort to sort out which leaders were still warranted and which weren’t. The records from HQ and County were very out of date, even if the district records were up to date. Many old warrants have been cancelled since Christmas. An updated list of leaders is in progress.
News from the Scout section
- The ADC reminded everyone of the Scouting Sunrise planned for 1st August 200*7*

- Its leader, Rhys Beynon, is keen to establish links with the remainder of the groups in the district
- 4 members went to the county selection for the 2007 Jamboree. There were 74 places and 82 people turned up, so the chances look good.

News from the ADC (International)
- Neil Bishop has taken on this role in the district
- He attended the county jamboree selection weekend, and said it was a great success, and the results will be published in due course.
- He offered to investigate Jamboree options for people interested in joining the service team. Keith Hampson said that the cost had fallen to
Anyone can join the IST, and suitably qualified people can join the OST. Keith has raised a query with HQ regarding the payment of the non-refundable deposit in the case of being allocated a duty that the applicant does not want to carry out.
- Neil is going to proivde more information regarding international scouting.
Warrants and Training
- There were no takers for the recently offered Getting Started course. Ted reminded everyone that he is only free to train one weekend in 5, all day Thursdays or certain evenings during the week.
- County were impressed with the nights away course that was recently run. The only comments back from the participants was that not everyone had, or was aware of the nights away folder from HQ. Ted said that this folder was now half price on the outdoors website.
Appointments Committee
- Ted is looking to schedule the next committee after the warrants review has finished. Faling that, a date after the Easter Holidays will be arranged.

- A discussion about the use of email then followed. It was decided that

- Ian, when specifically asked by Neil Bishop and Emma Thompson whether the two outstanding cheques would be now be cancelled, stated in open forum that they would now be cancelled and re-issued from the new account. He stated that the groups in question had been given a deadline on 31 March to cash the cheques (which had now expired) and therefore new cheques would have to be issued.
